Day 2: Air Safari (escorted by floatplane): North eastern tip of North America – “Land’s End”.†This escorted air safari plunges you at the heart of the south ecozone of the Arctic Cordillera. We stop at Hebron Fjord to discover vertiginous falls, fresh water seals and a rare species of tundra dwelling black bear. We’ll take the lunch on a lake in the overhang of the fjord of Hebron, walk on the lunar summits and enjoy the fantastic view over the Labrador Sea. In the Kaumajets Mountains, discover Finger Island, The Table Lands and several other incredible geological formations dating back to the quaternary era. Overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 4: Day of free fishing. † Fly out fishing to unknown rivers where fishes die of old age without ever having seen a fly or a lure.. Fish for the speckled trout, lake trout, landlocked salmon and for the Arctic arctic char. For the lunch, braise some of your catch over a wood-burning fire.Overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 5: Return Trip. Breakfast at the Lodge.

Optional: Bring your tent and live the authentic experience to spend a night in the heart of the Arctic tundra to observe the midnight sun.

Keep in Mind

The flight from your area to Rapid Lake can be done by connecting with other aircraft. Aviation fuel service is available upon request. The Torngat Mountains are an “extreme” destination that is an intensely incredible experience for visitors. Nevertheless, the truly arctic climate of this region is still a determining factor for the smooth running of all tourist trips. Bushland flights are often subject to last-minute changes, depending on weather conditions, in which case the itinerary will be adapted to the best possible alternative. 2% discount for payment by cheque.
