When dry flies work

Fishing has been excellent since the opening in June, but yesterday everywhere we were fishing on the Tunulic River the brook trout were scooping the water surface gorging on mayflies and taking just about any dries.

Arctic char (holdover char from last winter that stayed in the lakes) are taking dry flies in the upper lakes of our East Ungava char rivers…great, great time on the dries and screaming reels.
