The East Ungava Bay arctic char fishing season is on and fish in the 10-13 pound range have been caught and some larger ones lost.
The last two weeks warm weather (25°C; 30°C / 70; 90°F) has now slowed down a great number of fish coming up river.
The char are now concentrating at sea level at the mouth of the rivers where they are holding with the flow of the Ungava 30-50 + foot tides.
