If you like “fly catching” better than just “fly fishing”, solitude and pristine surroundings then you’re guaranteed to like a trip to the Baudoncourt river.
This remote and wild river on the East Ungava coast has been providing anglers with outstanding fishing for arctic chars. A 8 or 9-weight outfit, with a .350 grains sinking line, some Nymphs–a few lightly weighted and some a bit more heavily–and a short fluorocarbon leader should cover the bases.
There is nothing better in river fishing than seeing a 2 to 3 foot char torpedo launching himself into the air…of course, some will disagree, praising the sight-fish that chase the fly…and for others it’s the sound of a screaming reel. No matter how you like to catch your fish, there is always plenty of action on the Baudoncourt.
We have a few places left for 2014 on the Baudoncourt and discounts are also available for groups.
