Great arctic char fishing trip in Arctic Quebec

This time the big 15 pounds chars didn’t get away! On their first day of fishing the Baudoncourt, Thomas Woelfle photograph and Michael Werner editor in chief of the German fly fishing magazine “FliegenFischen” www.fliegenfischen.de caught some very big arctic char on tiny # 10 and # 12 flies. The days which followed were very fascinating.

They fish for the Baudoncourt’s big red char and made a photo safari on the East Ungava coast where they filmed and photograph polar bears and wolves in action.

Being here in the remote region of Arctic Quebec to fish big arctic char on tiny # 12 flies is an extraordinary experience. Furthermore, to have the opportunity to go on a polar bear photo safari and to observe the northern lights make this trip very unique…”
